WINDY!! Hard to keep the boat in position.  Sometimes hard to keep the boat from going upstream!  Fishing was decent, probably boated ten.  Wade fishing is much better.

Great BWO Baetis Mayfly hatch!  One of the largest Mayfly hatches I've seen on the San Juan.   Great  fishing  good action.

Bi-Fly tournment with my buddy Chef "the fly fishing man" Michael and ran the show.  Chef did very well with black semi seal fur streamer and comparadun dry fly.

Slower morning but afternoon was incredible.  Baetis mayfies cam off after lunch and the fish went crazy for them.  Every other cast we have a fish on, multilpe doubles in the boat.

Slow fishing in the morning but picked up after lunch.  In the morning the fish seem to be on larva patterns in cream and tan.  Small midge with flash in size 22-24 in black and gray.  Afternoons fish are feeding on midge pupa and baetis nymphs and dries

Good fishing.  Nymphing all day long.  Small black and gray midges sz 24.  Fish were tough because of increased pressure.  But if you fished were others weren't then the fishing was good.

Full day float.  Lowered the River today to 750 cfs and fished excellent.  Some fish on gray midges then switched to dries.  Ant flowed by parachute adams or midge cluster.  Lots of fish caught on dries.  You have to find the risers

Hard fishing with stream flows high.  Found pods of fish in calmer water.  Once you find fish stay there because there are probably more in there.  Good luck with worms and leeches.

Fish are full.  Have eaten so many Caddis that their stomachs are three times the normal size.  Good for the fish but not for fishing.  Caught several fish on droppers.

Caddis are at the peak of their hatch.  So many Caddis insects that we were eating em.  Lots of nice fish caught on dries.  Daniels' Foam Caddis, X-Caddis    AWESOME!!

Great fishing, higher flows but very clear.  Caught fish nymphing with long leader and lots of weight.  Streamer fishing was very productive as well.  Flies-Rainbow warroir, Red larva, Foam wing emerger and Egans Red bugger.
Beautiful, couldn't have asked for better weather.  Partly cloudy 80-90 degrees.
1/10/2006 Brian Animas Fished warmest part of day 1:00pm-4:00pm. Nice Midge hatch, no fish on top but caught fish in larger/deeper holes. Sunny and warm 50-55 degrees
